Absentee policy - If your child is not able to attend class on a given day please notify the office and send an email to Mikayla Pagnini at [email protected] prior to 2:00pm on the day of class.
If an instructor is absent, parents will be notified by telephone/email as soon as possible and students will be sent home at their normal dismissal time. If we are unable to reach you, the student will be in the school office until a parent can be reached. The class will be rescheduled.
There are no make-­up days for student absences.
Make up classes: If a class can not meet due to rain/weather, the instructor will be in touch to schedule a make up class.

Safety and pick up procedures - All students meet in the PRS GYM after school for attendance. ­Pick-up for all classes is in the PRS GYM by parents/guardians at 3:30 pm sharp. You may provide a note to the instructor if your child is to walk home or be dismissed to someone other than a parent.

Behavior Plan - 
if your child becomes unsafe and disruptive to class they will be at risk of unenrollment from the club.

ARCHERY
Grades 3-5

SOCCER

OUTDOOR FUN
Grades 1-3

Love the great outdoors? Weather permitting (unless it is extremely inclement), we will explore the great outdoors around PRS. This could be anything from having a scavenger hunt on Cheese Island, making fairy gardens, or taking a nature walk to look for signs of spring. If absolutely necessary, we'll stay in and do some science/nature related activities.

BEGINNERS CHESS
Grades 1-5

This class is for children who have no experience with chess. Here they will learn all of the basics to this wonderful game in a really fun and social environment. Participants receive their own Rules of Chess booklet along with weekly chess prizes to remind them to practice outside of class. They will also be introduced to free, age-appropriate chess apps/sites where they can continue to learn and play independently.
Instructor: Michael Yezukevich is an accomplished USCF tournament player and has been a professional chess instructor.for 10yrs. In addition to his private student lessons, Michael has taught chess in afterschool enrichment programs and created chess clubs for children at schools, libraries and recreation centers across the South Shore.

SPRING READ ALOUD AND CRAFTING

Do you love crafts? Do you love books? We will put both together in this hands on craft club. We will begin each session with a well-loved read aloud and then connect the story to a creative spring-themed craft. We will be learning so many new and fun ways to use everyday materials, art materials, and build a strong foundation of art making along with a love of literature!
Instructor: Katie Burritt is a first grade teacher at PRS. She has always loved crafts and she is excited to share that passion with students!

CRAFTS GALORE IN SUMMER MODE

Students will make a craft during each session. They will take it home each week, as long as it is dry. After they finish the craft, they can work with their clay . Everyone receives a container of clay. I will encourage the kids to create a favorite story character out of clay , to be painted later. Some of the crafts for this session are: decorating your own beach tote, water bottle and baseball cap. We will also make unique critters using fingers in stamp pads and on flower pots. They will make necklaces from sea shells and also a holiday gift for someone special!! Hope to see you there!!!

SKATEBOARDING

Can’t wait to break out your board? Come learn the basics, as well as advanced, skateboarding techniques with the riders from Technical Skate shop. In this class, we will be covering safety, cooperation and all the components of skateboarding. The classes will take place outside and Technical will be providing some of the skateboarding obstacles. Learn how to skateboard or sharpen your skill. **Participants must supply their own skateboard, helmet, elbow and knee pads.
